Switching from one operating system to another can always be a bit annoying. And if you used iOS until now and you have just switched to Android, one of the first steps you will have to take is to switch from iCloud to Google Photos. Until now it was a somewhat cumbersome process, but now we will teach you how to do it in the simplest way possible.
Transfer your photos from iCloud to Google Photos
What are iCloud and Google Photos
Both iCloud and Google Photos are two very similar services. These are systems of cloud storage for images and videos. Both can be configured automatically, so that every time you take a photo or record a video, they are automatically uploaded to the cloud. You can even program so that all those image or video files that are sent to you by WhatsApp or that you download from the network are uploaded to the cloud.
The two services are very similar and do not have substantial differences. Simply one is designed for the iOS operating system and another for Android. Therefore, when you change your mobile and with it also your operating system, it can be a bit problematic. But luckily, we have a way to switch from one platform to another without too much difficulty.

When will I have my photos in Google Photos
The process of transferring photos from iCloud to Google Photos is a bit slow. In fact, from Apple they warn that it is a process that may take between 3 and 7 days. This will depend, mainly, on the number of all that you have stored in the Apple service. If you didn’t have too many photos saved, the process will probably be faster.
And what can you do while? It is usually not too much of a problem to wait a few days for the photos to be available on your device. But if you are in too much of a hurry, the reality is that you can access iCloud from an Android mobile if you need to. However, even if you have that possibility in your hands, we recommend that if you are going to switch to the Android ecosystem you go directly to Google Photos, since it is the platform designed especially for these smartphones.
